Where are you located?

I am located in th Austin, Texas area and do events throughout the Austin Metro Area, especially Round Rock and Cedar Park. Please note, if I must travel more than 1 hour (google maps) than there will be an additional $25 fee (must book 2 hour minimum). 

 

How do I book my event?

The easiest way to make a booking is to email me at faceartbyceline@gmail.com, as soon as you have an idea of a date, booking early is always best as we can book up fast. In the email it would be great if you could let us know the date and time of the event, the type of event and the location, and we will get back to you as soon as possible! 

 

What do I need to supply?

I provide all of my own face paint and gear. I just need a small space to set up, with good lighting and cover from the sun on hot days or shelter from the wind and rain in bad weather, indoors or outdoor is fine. For bigger events I will bring my own tent.

 

How do I pay you?

Payment can be made by cash on the day. Online bank transfers are also accepted but must be arranged before the event.  No deposit is necessary, although adequate notice of any cancelations would be appreciated.

 

How many faces can you paint in an hour?

I can usually paint between 10 – 12 faces an hour, depending on the complexity of the design. For larger events I can cut back to very simple designs and could do up to 24 faces.

 

Cancellations/Rescheduling

I will make every effort to accommodate any changes, however, there is a chance that due to conflicting events that is not possible. In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule, please call or email as soon as possible and we will do our best to work something out. 

 

What type of face paint do you use?

I use only the safest, highest quality, FDA compliant, cosmetic-grade paints designed for use on the skin and around the eyes. The brands I use are Wolfe FX, TAG, FAB and Paradise by Mehron. All face painting glitter is cosmetic-grade and approved for use around the eyes. Although these are the best brands on the market, reactions can occur (though it is rare) - please inform us if your child has particularly sensitive skin so that a test swatch may be done before painting.

 

How do I remove the paint?

Face paints are easily removed with mild soap (baby shampoo is recommended), warm water and a wash cloth. If staining occurs, apply a moisturizer and gently wash again in 30 minutes to avoid irritating delicate skin. Baby wipes are convenient, but not recommended for face paint removal.

 

How do you clean your face painting gear?

To keep everything clean I use baby wipes and hand sterilizer. I also use a multi-well brush rinsing kit loaded with an organic, botanical-based brush cleaner to thoroughly rinse brushes between clients. Please be aware that for health and safety reasons, I cannot paint anyone who appears to be suffering from a skin condition or illness.

 

Can you create designs based on a theme?

Yes! If your event has a theme (ex., an "pirates and princesses" themed children's party, holiday function, etc.), please contact me so that I may prepare appropriate designs.
